Version 1.1 of the Lottery add-on is now available for download! A special thank you to everyone who helped me by trying out the beta!
How to upgrade
If you have entered your website URL on your profiles license page, the new update will be available via your Plugins page in your admin area. If not (or if you are on a localhost installation), you can visit your profile and download the latest version on the “Store Purchases” page.
As always, make sure you backup your database before updating just to be on the safe side! Once the plugin is enabled, all lottery schedules will be updated.
Schedule Bug
The schedule bug has now been fixed as I have re-written the entire schedule function in the add-on. If you have been experiencing issues with your lottery schedule, it is recommended that you either reset, save and restart or delete and create a new lottery to resolve the issue.
Furthermore, I have adjusted the schedule overview to show times based on either 12 or 24-hour format. Note that the lottery will display dates and times according to your general WordPress settings. Make sure you have the correct timezone setup to avoid schedules running server time.
Editing Active Lotteries
With version 1.1 you can now edit your lottery details for active lotteries. Note that your “Game” settings are visible but can not be edited while a lottery is “Activated”. The same goes for your lotteries schedule.
Manual Entries
You can now add entries to lotteries directly from the myCred > Lotteries page in your admin area. You can only add entries to lotteries that are in the “Start” state and you can select to either charge users for the entry or add free entries.
I also adjusted the Current State column on the myCred > Lottery page to show the next scheduled state if you hover your mouse over the lottery.
More Customizations
Developers and advanced users will be happy to know that I have added more customization options to both the lottery editor page and the myCred_Lottery class.
New Shortcodes
By user request, I have added two new shortcodes:
mycred_lottery_jackpot
to show lotteries current jackpot and
mycred_lottery_plays
to show the number of users and/or entries in the lottery.
